OUTBOARD MOTOR PROPELS TWO CANOES
Two guides, appointed to transport two canoes loaded with camp supplies a distance of 20 miles, reduced the labor to a minimum by lashing the canoes together and mounting an outboard motor between them. A piece of 11/2-in. board was lashed across the bows and another across the sterns, making a sort of crude catamaran. The trip was made in a short time and without the slightest trouble.
