We way goodbye to the "Gray Whale" and the "lLittle Giant", in this, the last of the four-book series, but not without some noble sacrifices on the part of the boys and some heroics on the their part and of the village residents to rescue the village form being wiped out in a flood caused by heavy rains and a massive log jam. The boys and their boats are able to dynamite the jam and thus save the town, but only through the sacrifice of both of the boats. An excellent yarn. HOME PAGE
