AMATEUR BOAT BUILDING
by William F. Crosby
Illustrated by Frank W. Harth

William F. Crosby needs little introduction to the fan of small boats. His many fine designs and cogent articles in the old Rudder Magazine established his reputation beyond test. Here, in this fine boat building book he synthesizes much of that advice. From the Introduction: "In the pages that follow, I have tried, so far as possible, to simplify the gentle art of boat building so that the beginner can, with a good set of plans, build himeself a sound boat with the least possible amount of complication. Having built a number of small boats myself and having designed a considerable number of boats soley for amateur construciton, I feel that it is possible for an amateur builder to knock himself together a good hull with the minimum amount of trouble, provided things can be kept as simple as possible. . . . The text matter and illustrations in this book have solely to do with vee-bottom boats of small size."
